To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age.

Details of all orders placed on our website are stored by us. A copy will be sent via e-mail and you can find the terms here at all times. If you chose to create an account on our website at the time of placing an order, you can find a copy of your order history by logging in at www.cramptonandmoore.co.uk/customer/account/

Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT at the current rate. Secure payments can be made in the following ways:

  • Any major credit/debit card through Adyen
  • Paypal
  • Amazon payments
  • Electronic bank transfer
  • Hitachi Credit
  • We also take orders over the telephone

All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we have the right to cancel the order.

Return and faulty goods policy

Items purchased can be returned to one of our stores or through our head office customer services team. Returns and exchanges can only be processed with proof of purchase.

Unwanted products

Unwanted products can be returned if you notify us within 14 days from the date of delivery or collection. The item must include all original packaging, in 'as new' condition and unused. You will also be responsible for the cost of any return carriage, The return carriage cost for small items is £7 and larger items up to £80 depending on the item type. There may also be a re-stocking fee of up to 20% of the purchase price, applied for any items which have been opened and used. If you wish to discuss any of your options with us please give us a call so we can confirm these with you.

Faulty products

If your product develops a fault, you have the option of a repair, exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 30 days of delivery or collection. If the fault with your product occurs within its guarantee period (normally 12 months from delivery) we will offer you a prompt repair service. In all cases we reserve the right to inspect the product and verify the fault. All original packaging must be retained for a minimum of 30 days from date of receipt in case the product needs to be returned for any reason (excluding large kitchen appliances).

Obviously we can’t be expected to guarantee against misuse, accident, neglect, commercial use, loss of data stored on any form of writeable/ rewriteable media/ hard drive devices, dead pixels of an amount not covered by the manufacturer’s specifications or normal wear and tear. Please note that if repairs are not carried out by ourselves or a manufacturer authorised agent our guarantee cannot apply and will invalidate any remaining warranty. This warranty is in addition to your normal statutory rights.

We also offer Extended Guarantees for your peace of mind with prices from leading Insurance providers including Domestic and General with guaranteed full protection after purchase. The premiums for these warranties can be found on our product pages and include all parts & labour repair costs.

Damaged products

If your product is found to be damaged when unpacked, you must notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the goods. All original packaging must be retained for a minimum of 30 days from date of receipt in case the product needs to be returned for any reason (excluding large kitchen appliances). When you receive your goods please open the box and examine them before signing to ensure they are in good condition, if the packaging or item is damaged please do not accept the goods and notify us as soon as possible. If you are unable to check the item at the time of delivery, please sign as unchecked. Once items are delivered we allow 48 hours to check your purchase for damage and report any issues, we cannot accept claims or returns for damage after 48 hours of delivery. Regrettably if items are signed for in good condition that later prove to be damaged, we have no recourse with the carriers so please check items thoroughly to avoid any disappointment.

Cancelling an order

If you wish to cancel an order before delivery please contact your store, or for online orders email customer.service@cramptonandmoore.co.uk or telephone 01226 350754. Once we have received your request, we will contact you to confirm cancellation.

Crampton and Moore reserve the right to cancel an order at any time until the order has been delivered for any reason and refund the customer in full. Crampton and Moore will not take liability for any loss or damage arising from the cancellation.

Delivery

A standard UK mainland delivery charge will be calculated on your order and added to your shopping basket.
In you have specific delivery requirements or live outside the UK mainland, please contact us on 0114 2467635 and we will be happy to give you a quote.
All parcels we send are insured at no extra cost.

We will only ship products outside the UK in special circumstances. Please contact us with your specific requirements.
The majority of our deliveries are made within 3 days of payment being received however for larger items 5 to 7 days is the standard delivery, if the products are in stock. Delivery dates for out of stock items will be advised on order.

Please note that we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivering goods. In the unlikely event that your product appears lost or is damaged in transit please contact us.
If you order arrives damaged or incomplete please notify the courier on delivery and inform us within 48 hours. We will do our best to sort out the problem as quickly as possible.

LOWEST PRICES & SERVICE

We constantly monitor prices to bring you the best value in electrical goods. We will also treat you as an individual and we pride ourselves on our high standard of service.

We reserve the right to charge for re-delivery if you are not present at the agreed original delivery date.

Consumer Contracts Regulations (formerly Distance Selling Regulations)

In accordance with EU consumer contracts regulations, we provide a 14 day cooling off period with a right to cancel for all online orders. This period starts the day after the goods are received. Crampton & Moore will accept returns on goods even if the packaging has been opened to inspect them. All goods need to be repackaged in original packing and with all accessories and instructions before returning.

If you wish to report a fault with your item or return an unwanted item please follow the link below to submit a return request. Once completed you will receive a response from our team within 48 hours.

Printing and Pricing Errors

In the event a product is listed at a wrong price due to a typographical (human) error or incorrect pricing information received from our suppliers, we have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed prior to a contract being made.

Security

When you shop with us via our web site, all your financial transactions are entirely secure. We only use online payment services from Adyen, Paypal and Amazon Payments for card payments, who process the transaction and then notify us of authorization. Your personal credit card details are not disclosed to us or stored so you don’t need to worry about your details falling into the wrong hands.

Additionally we also ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third party databases. By accepting these terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made. In performing these checks personal information provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information. You can rest assured that this is done only to confirm your identity, that a credit check is not performed and that your credit rating will be unaffected. All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
